AFTERCARE

BROWS AND EYELINERS AFTERCARE

For 14 days following application of Permanent Cosmetics


· Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers, they may have bacteria on them and create an infection.

· Apply your favorite antibiotic ointment or Vaseline 2 times daily until the procedure area has healed. Always use a clean cotton swab and not your fingertips. We suggest Vaseline, as it is non-reactive in most clients.

· No make-up, tinting or lashes or brows, sun, soap, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in the recreational bodies of water, contact with animals, gardening for 14 days, (until area is completely healed) post procedure and after all touch-ups.

· Before bathing, gently apply a light coating of Vaseline on the procedure area using a clean cotton swab. Continue this regime until the procedure area has completely healed.

· Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing (pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue).

· Use a "total sun block" after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.

· Do not use product that contain AHA's on the procedure area. (Example: Glycolic, Lactic Acids. Always check your product labeling) it will fade your pigment color.

· Try to sleep on a satin pillowcase while the procedure is healing.

· If you are a blood donor, you may not give blood for 1 year following your Permanent make-up application (per Red Cross).

· Touch up visits should be scheduled between 30-45 days post procedure. All Permanent Make-up procedures are a two-steps process. Results are not determined until touch-up application is completed.

· If you have any questions or concerns, please notify your technician immediately.

· If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering or any other complications post-procedure, stop using product and call your technician immediately. You may be allergic to the aftercare product you are using!

· If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the procedure site toward the heart, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected and you may need to seek medical care.


Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment color loss!

All permanent make-up procedures area a two-step process.

We suggest a yearly "Color Refresher" to maintain your procedure color integrity.



LIPS BLUSH AFTERCARE

Lip Blush post-care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new lips. Please read the following aftercare instructions carefully:

Day 1

Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in color.

For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean paper towel, to remove any lymph. After 4 hours, start applying ointment (Aquaphor) as needed to keep lips constantly moist

No kissing, rubbing or friction on treatment area

Day 1-3

Apply ointment on lips several times a day. Keep lips moist at all times. Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food and drink with a straw. After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

DAY 4-7

Between these days, lips will begin and end the process of peeling, and color will lighten by 30%-50%. Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping your lips moist!

WEEK 2

Lips are done peeling, color is light. You may return to normal routines. Lips will continue to heal, up to 6 weeks. Every week more color will surface, it is important to continue keeping lips moist to get the best color at the end of the healing phase.

WEEK 6-8

Your lips are healed and you're feeling unstoppable!!! Just add some lip gloss and go! In most cases it requires two treatments to complete the lip transformation.

The following must be avoided during all 14 days post treatment:

  • Increased sweating

  • Practicing sports

  • Swimming

  • Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

  • Sun tanning or salon tanning

  • Exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading

  • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the treatment area

  • Touching of the treatment area except for when applying the post-care ointment with a cotton swab

  • Picking, peeling, or scratching of the treatment area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment

  • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris

  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds

  • Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles

  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds

If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact Jasmine immediately, to discuss further instructions.

Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.



EYELASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE

Eyelash Extensions are a high maintenance beauty treatment. They require very gentle care in order. for the lashes to last longer and stay in good condition.

  • Be gentle. Do not rub or pull on your eyelash extensions.

  • Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry for 4-6 hours after your appointment.

  • You may wash your face in the sink using a washcloth, avoiding the eye area.

  • Keep all oil based products away from the eyes and remember that everything on your face will travel to the eye area.

  • Oil WILL breakdown the adhesive and you will have premature lash extension loss.

  • Your hands can get dirty, and dirt is oily, so you’ll want to keep your fingers off your eyes unless cleansing.

  • Lash tinting will need to be done 24-48 hours before your lash fill appointments.

  • No perming the lashes!

  • No saunas, facials, or swimming within 4-6 hours of application.

  • Do not stick your head in the oven when baking! It can singe your extensions! Turn your head away from the oven when putting anything in or pulling anything out.

  • Do not use Eyelash Curlers.

  • You should be careful and take specific care with makeup and remover.

  • Do not use cotton on your lash extensions.

  • Wash your lashes daily (after the initial 4-6 hours). Apply oil-free makeup remover with your fingers, rubbing gently down the lashes.

  • Or you may apply oil-free makeup remover to your lashes using a disposable mascara wand. Spray onto wand, brush through lashes gently, and rinse with warm water.

  • Mascara should be washable and cannot be waterproof.

  • We recommend The Lashes Cleanser.

  • We recommend The Lashes Mascara as it is designed to be worn with eyelash extensions and can be removed easily.

  • Apply mascara to the tips of the lashes only. No need to swipe from bottom to top.

  • Do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, call us for an appointment.

  • Brush your lashes daily.
